RePlay XD’s Nick Baumgartner from Michigan has a long resume of accomplishments on the slopes. Baumgartner has stepped-up leading the USA in Snowboardcross (SBX) and qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics, won the Gold and Silver medals in the 2011 and 2012 Winter X Games and began Off-Road racing in 2011 winning the Rookie of the Year “Stock Truck” award before advancing to Pro Light trucks in 2012. American badass… we’d say so!
Recently Baumgartner and the USA team took on the Snowboard World Cup in Veysonnaz, Switzerland. Inches from victory, Nick Baumgartner and Nate Holland took a photo finish second at the third and final FIS World Cup snowboardcross team event.
“I won all 3 heats today as the first leg of the relay! Nate was my partner, thought we had it but he got edged out right before the finish line and we took 2nd. It was fun can’t wait to race in a few days in Spain!” – Nick Baumgartner
Huge congrats to Baumgartner and the USA team for all the hard work and finish. The next event takes place in Sierra Nevada, Spain for more World Cup Snowboardcross action today!
